Pangkor Island & Jigging Jarak Island - 28 - 30 Dec 2007

WM Fishing Team went for 1st time Jigging. Team 1 arrive 1st & stayed in Pangkor Island overnight. While Team 2 group up at Pangkor Jetty. We stopped at the fishermen village on sea to get some baits: small fish & squid. Saw a jelly fish digesting a small fish.

Most team were nauseated by rough sea & had a bad 1st night on board. While the newest addition to the team member caught the most fish, while about half of the team caught nothing.

Food was just 2x per day & it's fishermen style, means very simple meals. Day pass by with most of us waiting & resting & snoozing. time passed peacefully but not bored. Just tired from holding on to the rocking rolling boat..

By the last day, i woke up real early, determined to have something to show for...neverthelass i didn't even have any bite mark to show...the fish dun love me.

The boatmen also have nothing much to show for, but there weren't very experienced in spotting a good nest & they were on their own mission to catch red grouper & expensive fish. They inform us that the current were too strong for our light jig gear. They constantly change spot & spent hours with the sonar. What i'm wondering is why are WE paying them (with our money & bait)to have them fish for their Own interest?...

I kept my mouth shut because they are supposed experienced fishermen...my foot!

However the rest of the team didn't seems down & feeling just ok about this trip. We all have a good dinner before heading to our grounded solid bed. Till next sea trip...
