22th Fishing Adventure: Semenyir Dam, Sg Langat , Sg Congkak (48 photos)

Since last week most of the team enjoyed the adventure at Sg Langat Water Gate, we return again to the same spot for fishing. Ricky says he know the place to fish for Toman at Semenyir Dam, for do the "Simon says" & follow him. The spot is nice & grassy, the water is clear & calm. But after 2 hrs BBQ-ing under the hot sun & no bite, we decided to head up the waterfall. But the waterfall becomes a paying park…Why all family nature park also need money…Aren't the Gov suppose to promote family day & health living…Aiseh…

We return back to meet up with Pak Isa, he guide us hike up the Langat River, I almost get blooded by a very determined ugly pacat sucker….grrr. The water there nice & cooling, best for swim, but no fish biting. We do not want to waste more time fishing an empty river, as Lim saw someone netting not far from the place we fish.
We headed out to Sg Congkak paypond, near Sifu Chalet. The place promises nice catch, from the others results. But after 30 minutes, the rain started hitting us fast & furious style, we are trapped with no where to go but continue fish. Within 3 hrs of waiting, shivering from the rain & cold, only Wayne caught 2 gigantic Rohu. It's a good ending for him, But the rest of us eye his catch with great envy….
By 3rd hr we pack up & leave with the rain following us back home…Another Wet Wet Day…

Back to Pangsoon River, nice & cool, but beware of pacat. Looks like a twig, but not a twig...eeww. The place is very fun & secluded for picnickers & bathing...but we are fisher...where does all the fish gone? Undeteered, we move to a place sure 100% got fish one...

Sg Congkak Paypond @ RM20/3hrs. Soon after we start fishing 30min , the rain come, it rain & rain nonstop...Wayne manage to caught one fatty Rohu in the 1st 30 min. then another Rohu about 1hr 30min later. By 3 hr passed, only Wayne caught fish, while the others caught rain.

We are so bummed by the rain, it rained all thruout the night....i guess it's really a big cold bucket on us all.

19 Fishing Adventure: Subang - 27 Oct 07

Lim & Tiger wanted to fly fishing & casting at Subang, so we paid a visit to out old spot behind Holiday Villa. The spot is full of water weeds, much time were spend freeing tangle lines & weeds. I'm the only person managed to hook a small peacock bass after 3 hrs plus of fishing. After a slow day we pack up & headed to a nice dinner at Sunway & home

20th Fishing Adventure: Sg Langat Water Gate - 28 Oct 07

Guiding us on this trip is Anuar & his cute fiancé, to Semenyih Water Gate. Lim, Tiger, Butcher & I reach the site about 12 noon. Loaded with 7 nasi lemak, 2 nasi kerabu & 2 nasi berlauk. Anuar brought a Tupperware full of sandwiches & snacks. Plus all the tackle boxes & fishing gear, from afar we look like a group of snipers.
Hiking up the back road as we illegally enter the dam, because the dam is closed to public, only local can enter. Hiking up is tough work, with soft wet soil. Lots of pacat to greet us. The rest of the team got bitten more than once, especially Butcher got bitten 6x. Luckily Aje & I escape any bloodied suckers, but got few near missed. After Hiking for 45min, reaching the top

But nevermind la...coz this part is nicer

The 1st spot we reach has loads of baby flower horn waiting for us. We immediately cast while some members rest & recharge themselves before any casting begun.

After 2 hrs plus we shifted to another spot to cool down our hot & aching body. It's a welcome sight & sound, when we reach the river mouth. The cold clean water refreshes us & the place has plenty of space to fish as well.

We frolic & fish at this spot till thunder inform us that it's time to go, it's 6pm. By the time we reach the front gate, rain has already started pounding on us. After a short bath & change of cloth at Pak Isa house & saying our goodbyes. Anuar bring us our & treat the team to a hot & delicious dinner. Next day our body ache all over... and they already planned to return here.
