WM Fishing Team went for 1st time Jigging. Team 1 arrive 1st & stayed in Pangkor Island overnight. While Team 2 group up at Pangkor Jetty. We stopped at the fishermen village on sea to get some baits: small fish & squid. Saw a jelly fish digesting a small fish.
Most team were nauseated by rough sea & had a bad 1st night on board. While the newest addition to the team member caught the most fish, while about half of the team caught nothing.
Food was just 2x per day & it's fishermen style, means very simple meals. Day pass by with most of us waiting & resting & snoozing. time passed peacefully but not bored. Just tired from holding on to the rocking rolling boat..
By the last day, i woke up real early, determined to have something to show for...neverthelass i didn't even have any bite mark to show...the fish dun love me.
The boatmen also have nothing much to show for, but there weren't very experienced in spotting a good nest & they were on their own mission to catch red grouper & expensive fish. They inform us that the current were too strong for our light jig gear. They constantly change spot & spent hours with the sonar. What i'm wondering is why are WE paying them (with our money & bait)to have them fish for their Own interest?...
I kept my mouth shut because they are supposed experienced fishermen...my foot!
However the rest of the team didn't seems down & feeling just ok about this trip. We all have a good dinner before heading to our grounded solid bed. Till next sea trip...

Post Christ Dinner @ Villa Danieli @ Sheraton, KL 26 Dec 2007
My lil-sis Christmass pressie for us was Dinner at Villa Danieli, because she ask what I want, I say any dinner, not chinese, malay or mamak.
It was drizzeling. We arrived 1st & pose with some beautiful christmas ornaments in the hotel, The Restaurant was located 5th floor on pool side.
On the supposed evening the hostest & mom was LATE... so My dad, HB & Iarrived early & we "sapu" the varieties of bread with balsamic vinegar &olive oil they place on the table for us.
Looking around the place have a luxury homey feel, with murals on the walls& Mariachis singing in the background.
Half hour later, Sis & mom arrive & we get to ordering. Not much picturewere salvaageable, as the lighting is poor & most dish were eaten beforemanage to capture picture.
For Sharing. We had Beef Carpacio & Salad, it was simple, so taste wise simple, not muchto elaborateTomatoes & Mozzarella & Salad, the portion & plating was not nice at all, seems small & not much to tell.
Magharita Pizza, I can say it's nice... Thin & lather fully with tomatoes pesto
Mom & I shared a pan fried sole on risotto, which was fine, fish was sweet &fresh, risotto taste savoury but not much to rave, tad chewy but after fewforkful I was already full & the risotto seems uneaten, my mon finished it.
HB has grilled sole fish on a bed of salad & potatoes. Tastewise was ok,nothing to rave
Sis & Mom shared a Ravioli, the stuffing in the ravioli was kinda flat &bland, but sauce was jz nice to compliment the raisine & salad.
Dad has tomato sauce paste with seafood, dad finished it & we didn't steal any bite
Half way thru our mains, the Italian Chef came & have a chat with us,telling us what he cook & food he cook. Kinda boring...I made an effort to nod & not doze off..
Desserts was Chestnut Paraline & Degustation Chef Desserts (warm choc cake, lime sorbet, panna conna, pistachio cake
Sis & I debated [argue..] is risotto a rice or a pasta... I checked the
Wikipedia...It's rice....u win sis..
After Dinner, the Mariachis came to lulle us. On our way out, each of us
were presented with fruit bread.
Overall dinner was nice, nothing strandsout from the dish, but atmosfere &
mood was to think about
Total Dinner: My sis paid RM400...err with 50% discount la...worth it of not
