One World: Zuan Yuan @ 14 Nov 2007

MIGF 2007. It didn't start off well. Initially we headed to Med @ Marche Rennaisance, after braving the KL jam, we finally arrive 45 mins later & parked at the Hotel lobby. We were so excited to start off MIGF at Meds, how ever we were told that the restaurant has closed for a private function...WTF!!?... no place for 2 person at all? "Nope" said the host. We headed back to carpark, the most expensive car park, 15 min at RM6...siow boh!! Haiya never mind la. We headed to 2nd choice. One World: Zuan Yuan...lagi teruk!! arrive there about 8pm liow... 2 hrs just stuck in traffic. OK we seated & we order ala-card & from MIGF menu they provided us... The lady waitress say "sorry ah...we no longer serve the MIGH menu, because some items no stock" WTFarking Joke... So getting hungrier & madder, if no MIGF, the why give us the MIGF menu ah...ah lian.

OK Feelings aside. We order: Steam Clams with Glass noodles & Ginger RM16, Marmite Prawns with Eggplant RM40, Lo Hon Chai RM20, Kon Pui & Crab meat Fried Rice RM20, Seafood Dumplings in egg wantan Noodles RM20.

Verdic: After 40 minutes wait [stomache growling, HB face black like wok butt],

The steam clams is nice & light, glass noodles compliments the whole mouthfeel & not too salty / bland, just ok. Good for appetiser

Marmite Prawns with eggplants: Both lightly fried to a crispy outer while inside, prawns are big & crunchy, eggplant is soft & warm. Drawback is this dish must go with rice, as it's too salty on its own.

Lo hon Chai: Not much to rave about, all is vege roots with bambooshots, canned buttonmushroom & black chinese mushroom. Some pak kor & white fungus give to the extra crunch & earthy taste.

Seafood Dumplings: The picture tells all, no hidden extra at all. Actualy just normal prawns dumplings in soup. Average wanton noodles taste better compare to this big bold of bland & empty taste noodles.

Kon Pui & Crab meat Fried Rice: Better than average chow fann. But with tiny slovers of dried scallops fried to crispy bits & finger sized crab legs meat, elevate this fried rice to slightly 'rich' feel

Meal total: RM147. With average service, slow serving & high hotel price menu, not recomended to take out your wallet. The tables are less than 50% full. No need to guess why.
