Yummy Oyster @ Sabak Bernam
It’s like a treasure hunt where the price is having fresh Malaysian oyster.
At 1st glance the place is really ‘ulu’, where’s no paved road & kampong style.
We ordered [Spicy] Claypot eel, [Fat & Juicy] Oyster Omelet & [Sweet] fresh ½ dozen Oyster
RM40.60 Price inclusive rice & tea for 2 pax.

My Phuket Trip July 2009
Link to Picture: Phuket Day 1 & 2 - Naithon & Mai Khao Beach
1st Day on the Beautiful Sandy Naithon Beach. Stayed @ Phuket Naithon Resort at RM50/nite. The small but cosy hotel [under construction] is facing directly @ the open emerald white waves. The soft sand is mesmerizing & calming.
2nd Day @ JW Marriot, Mai Khao Beach, the room consist of 2 kingsize spacious bedrooms, equipped with a full cooking kitchen, laundry room, living & dinner section. The best part of this is the double bath tub & seperated shower & loo. The bathroom is as big as the king size bed room. It's just the 2nd day, but im already feeling very happy here. More to come tomorrow. ^~^
Link to Picture: Phuket Day 3 & 4 - Fantasea & Patong
I have been to Fantasea 7yrs ago. The new & improved Fantasea has been "upgraded" with Magic show/Animal Show/Singing/Love/Fights Drama/Cultural Drama/Circus All packed in 1hr 15min. It's colorful, exciting & magical all in one elephant theme park.
Patong is as colorful at the 'girls' & [cute/old/arab/drabs] farangs found swarming this areas. All the single/attached guys are lucky as they are like honey swarmed by hot [original/artificial] 'hunnies' trying to get their business & attentions. Everywhere i went, my hands & eyes just itching to shop & buy [great heels & dresses at bargain $$]...lucky i still have some common sense & being the CFO, i have hold my purse string very tight, else i will go crazy here. Where am i going tomorrow...hmn 3 more days
Link to Picture: Phuket Day 5 & 6 - Wat, Shopping & Makan Makan
It's a hot & clear morning, most suitable for capturing the beautiful, colourful & delicate structure of Wat Chalong. The artmenship is trully breathtaking. At night we took to the equally colorful nightlife of patong street. There were lots of eyecandy & 'trans'. the night scene here is toned down compared to my visiting last time. We stayed for just a glass of beer & headed for some bargain hunting. The clothing/shoes/accessory is pretty much the same everywhere in the island.
Our last day today in phuket spent on some last minute shopping & hoarding some local snacks. The Carfour @ Jungceylon has foie gras, those are the hardest to get in KL, omgs i have tried looking for some decent foie gras for so very long. Anyway Carfour is stock with every imaginable bits where it's impossible to get in KL [the price is cheap too] bought some boiled oyster for last day oyster omelet & some foie gras. It feels just like i arrived here yesterday...[Purse down to last baht ...] & tomorrow back to KL & come monday...back to work... oh i missed my holidays already now...sniff gotta wake up at 4AM!! tomorrow to catch the flight... siow...
Tata Phuket...signing out

Pictured are ones i find most interesting, compared to the others. Not pictured items are Salmon Head RM12.80 [a bit pricy, but very fresh & tasty] Salmon Sashimi RM9.9 [big tender pieces that is firm, sweet & fresh]Yummy, Fresh & Worth to Try. Not something i would normally order at the place i have been. Quality of food can match Gonbei, pricing is affordable for those who like to try new things.

Unique Seafood Restaurant @ 24 May 2008
Dinner @ Unique Seafood Restaurant, Section 13.
Been there few time & were quite satisfy with the service & different types of live seafood available for selections.
This Dinner is to celebrate HB Birthday.
Momsy been here previously, she n dad has stewed abalone, picked live from the tank.
This time we picked Stir fry Clams Green Onion & Ginger , Garlic stir fry Sweet Pea , Steamed Prawns with Egg whites & Snow Crab in Superior Soup
Stir fry Clams Green Onion & Ginger - was salty but went well with white rice
Garlic stir fry Sweet Pea - Crunchy & Sweet, but they didn't remove the hard bits properly
Steamed Prawns with Egg whites - fresh & sweet prawns, no overpowering taste, just focusing on the sweet juicy prawn meat.
The star dish - Snow Crab in Superior Soup - the shell was egg thin , easily disarmed with just a pair of scissor, yielding the tasty crab meat, taste springy & sweet....but ... it fell short of our expectation, the sauce was thin & runny, the crab looks like went thru war zone... we previously had this before, both times, the sauce was thick & lovely to go with the rice & coated well to the crab meat, the crab is all creamy white & not spotted black like on the picture
Overall the meal cost RM400 ++, the crab alone was over RM300 ++ . given the frills [steam peanuts appetiser, towelettes] the service was attentive & they change our plates frequently.
Maybe I'll try the spider crab next time, given if i have the cash...
The dinner was Average good & worth to come again if there's family special occasion. RSVP required as they are very popular near weekends & public holidays.

My Melaka Short Escape 17 - 19 May 2008
Melaka is so darn hot, i feel BBQed just by standing still.
Sis & Mom meet us up in Air Keroh D' Village Resort. The resort has a 'dingy' feel to it, nevertheless it's a place to shower & rest. The room is so not hygenic that we had sniffles the very next day & need to sleep the half day off.
Our 1st stop to refuel is Satay Celup, nothing much special than normal 'lok lok' except the peanut sauce is used to cook the skewered meat/vege, btw the sauce is the only way of cooking the food. It's pretty much remain on the table, boiling away & eaters sticking sticks of food in the pot.
One of the food i actually enjoyed is the yam cake, bubur cha cha & giant karipap [80cent]. The rest of the food [fish noodles, oh chien, laksa, curry mee] pretty normal & most place is crowded because of the public Wesak holiday.
We were actually stuck in middle of the Wesak parade, no choice but have to wait till all Idols were drove/carried passed.
We had no luck trying fishing at the Air Keroh lake, most locals there use the netting method & many were fishing at night. The lake is nice thou, with sprinkles of rubbish left by uncaring locals
We check out early & headed back to KL.

Family news: Two buddies killed in car-trailer crash
It has been quite a while since my last entry. Normally I try to keep all event that happens that deserve to remembers. Seldom i like to keep remembering unhappy things.
However this time i need to put this out here as remembrance.
Last week Thursday is a roller coaster for me & my family. Morning once i reached office, received a call from lil-sis [calm tone] "Sis, Cousin Cheung has an accident, Uncle called mom, now waiting for more updates, do have the other Cheung brothers cell?" ... "Ok i call later if there's any update"
I reached office, 10am-ish, call from lil-sis [crying tone] "Sis, can you take 1/2 day off? We gotta go back Sauk for Cousin Chung cremation tomorrow" ME: "What the!!!, can you repeat that..." "You kidding ar.. Woi April Fools joke not funny la..." lil-sis [crying tone] "I cannot talk already, feeling so numb, you gotta hang up, coz i cannot move" ... hang up....I immediately call mom reconfirm everything.
Immediately sms & email my boss, apply EL 1/2 day from my boss. complete the rest of my task... Feeling a buzz waiting for time to rush home. Thinking how's my dad feeling now that he's in Jinan, Beijing for his medicine studies.
On the way home, tapau BK lunch for us 3. Once reach home, encounter mother of all sui-ness 4th Aunt...By the way is my dad older sis from other mom [My grandad time, men can have more than 1 wife] So with four female in my dad trusty Waja, we rush to Ipoh to meet up with 5th Aunt, Uncle & Niece. Wat is sui somore is that it rained all the way to Ipoh. In the car i was brooding, keeping quiet, while the SeiEee keep on say lots of 'not-so-nice things' I'm tempted to dump her in the Plus highway while driving 120km/hr.
About 6.30 pm We & 5th Aunt family go to Sauk. Thru out the journey it has been grey & heavy for me... i guess my sis also feeling the same. My uncle family & ours are quite close, we watch each others grow up from baby, to teenager to marriage - now death. my Uncle is my dad only younger brother. His 4 sons age are close to ours by 1 - 2 years difference. Each year we the young lings have going to & fro KL - Sauk in dads cars, now their own cars, for festivals, durian season & event ... happy times.
Upon reaching Sauk, all the way from office - home - Ipoh - Sauk I promised myself no tears or grief... tried to. One look at the coffin from afar... i can say i crumble within... later on after more deep breath & dry eyes, went to look at my cousin body... He was the 2nd child, among the 4 brother he's the best looking & most charming & like his type, also abit ego manic. He married his school sweetheart about 2-3years ago, has a girl, now son just born this year. Like all 24 yr old boy/man adrenalin chaser, fast car, late nights.
My Cousin & his friend, were out to meetup his friends, 10pm-ish. Rainy, late, dark road, wet slippery road + a speed maniac behind the wheel. When you read this, now maybe you know who's at fault here. Need not me to say any further
How many of you have been 'almost' kena accident. Now think back ... are you the ones who will be killing other people's beloved or you are the victims here. Are you speed/horn/trailing/cut queue/high light monster on the road? or are you the victims here.
Consider this when you heard other people say what type of driver you are.
I don't want to drive because i have seen enough maniac out there when i'm in the passanger seat.
As a passanger, we have a duty to remind the driver "Please don't kill me, when you are driving" or " I do not want to end my life in an accident created by you"
Now 1st actual peek at my cousin body is enough to make me lose it... my heart just crumble at the lil boy which i watch him grow up to a young man. I think the one most affected in my family is lil-sis, she just 'marah' him last week for not being mature enough, since now he's got a son, he says he has been helping his dad & being a family man. My sis 1 yr older than him & both very talkative.
Anyway few more peeks before we go back Ipoh for the night... more unstoppable grief ... silently pray somore to calm self.
Now my uncle althou is younger few years than my dad, but with 1 housewife, 4 son (-1), 2 daughter inlaws, 3 grandchildren, 1 business & the sole family provider. His looks is much much older than my dad because of all the heavy responsabilities on his shoulder & the weight to carry all 4 sons(-1), alone. Youngest still study, 2nd youngest still have 1 yr to complete college has wife & baby, oldest working, 2nd son, 24 yrs old half-work half-play + 1 wife & 2 child. Mind you I'm 28 & his oldest is 26 only....To lose a dear dear son at his age [50ish] sure exerts lots of grief from such a man...
To those monster / maniac out there do not give grief to your parents or to other parents [if you didnt die, other people meet death in your place]. It's took lots of sweat, tears, blood, heart & love to bring you/their child up. It is absolute intense pain to see their children die before them.
After a restless night [i counter som 'thing' in my half sleep mode at night in my 5th aunt house, not afraid coz it's just a playful lil boy, my mom had another nightmare also, didnt say anything lor, coz it's other people house mah] The next day on the way to Sauk, went to visit the granddead graves, place some folwers around. Each one oldgrand ones has lived till white hair. They had lived to the end of their road & departed on thier time. Not taken away from young. Later that the cremation went pretty smooth, except more rain when they took the coffin away to creation place. Cremation is at Ipoh, we drive up to Ipoh. We all bade our final farewell & give our respect & go back to Ipoh for lunch.
A short rest & we headed back to KL. It also rain in KL lor... so sien...by the way on the way back to Ipoh on Thur, an ah pek langar our car 2x with his kns kap chai, because of heavy rain, ah pek zoom pass us without a sorry or anyting lor... double tulan
Later after 8pm meet up with HB & family for BKT
In happier times
Grief is short live, Happy memories last eternity

KLCC - Jumper - 20 Feb 2008
Tried to get some pals to a new Movies, kesian nya…no one replied… but it was very last minute. Hai…can’t blame them
I reached KLCC at near 7pm, quickly bought Tickets, yah got a pretty good seat, that’s the advantages of single.
Hurried to Isetan [my fav] Grab a Kani Garden Salad RM3.90, looking for something to wet my lips… Hold On!! Canned Wine!! Wow I’m impressed… but at RM16++ per can, a bit pricy but I’m someone whom like their wine in easy to drink form… A Billygoat Chardonnay [silly name]
Saw some organic food fair, tempted to browse, but was not enough time.
The chardonnay compliments the crab stick salad quite well, I was very happy with my simple dinner, practically hummed throught the movie, The Jumper Star is pretty cute I may say [I think the wine gotten to my head…hic]
